What is the difference between Cosmetic & Facial Acupuncture?

Cosmetic acupuncture and facial acupuncture are two different names for the same treatment.

Cosmetic acupuncture stimulates collagen and elastin production to smooth the skin organically. The treatment involves a few needles in the body to ground the energy, a gentle facial massage to prepare the skin, followed by needling of the face with tiny needles, many of which are so small they are inserted with tweezers. This is a very relaxing and rejuvenating treatment. 

Before the treatment,  we will have a chat to determine your specific needs and goals. This treatment is longer than standard treatments and needles are typically left in place for 40 to 45 minutes, allowing the needles to take full effect. During this time you will relax in my clinic with gentle music in the background.

Cosmetic acupuncture is a gentle and relaxing treatment; most people find it a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Cosmetic acupuncture is most effective when done as a course of treatments.  For the best results, it is recommended to sign up for a package of 8 treatments over 4 weeks or 8 weeks.
